Creationism in Exeter

An Exeter church has apparently invited Philip Bell as principal speaker at a forthcoming conference on the tired issue of creationism. From his past activities they can expect yet another repetition of the "young Earth" idea which was firmly discredited by developments in geology and paleontology in the 19th century and is contrary to all current scientific evidence. He even thinks that there could have been dinosaurs in the 15th century. Readers of the story in the Express and Echo Thursday, April 30, 2009 and Tuesday, May 05 have not been shy in their dismissal.
